Accessing USDA-NRCs Funding for Socially Disadvantaged Farmers in Mississippi

 Location: Mississippi

Funders: Alcorn State University 

Background: The USDA-NRCS focuses on understanding minority groups and women’s experiences in accessing funds and programs for agricultural promotion available for disadvantaged farmers and ranchers. This group is underrepresented in agriculture and has caused the USDA to be the source of discrimination claims.
