Background: The WEAI+ proves that women farmers lack empowerment in agricultural decision-making, purchase, sale or transfer of assets, and public speaking. Research suggests that through culturally grounded opportunities that enhance women farmers, agricultural empowerment among women smallholder farmers will become more widespread.
